Congratulations! You have a tattoo appointment, here are some indications for your aftercare along with the products you’ll need for the days after the procedure.

  1. Your tattoo will be covered with a plastic for a couple of days, depending on the tattoo you’ll get, you might need more than one piece of this plastic, you can ask me for clarification on this, some of my clients, specially if you plan to get more tattoos in the future, decide to get their own roll of plastic.

  2. You’ll have to moisturize your tattoo with a moisturizer, the frequency of this changes from person to person but it’s important to not let the tattoo dry during the first three-four weeks.

  3. The soap you’ll use has to be unscented and preferably liquid but personal bars are ok as long as the are new

  4. The tattoos will forever need extra care from the sunlight, in particular those with fine lines, light shading, tiny details and/or are located in an area that it’s constantly exposed to the sunlight. However the first month after you get your tattoo its crucial that you avoid the direct sun light exposure covering with clothes and after 3-weeks you can apply sunscreen too.
